CAROLINE POST 29 CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS
Within the Department of Maryland, all American Legion Posts adopted a standardized Constitution and By-Laws. Whenever these are modified at the annual convention, the Post automatically adopts the new Constitution and By-Laws, as do all other Posts within the State of Maryland. CAROLINE POST 29 STANDING RULES (INCLUDES HOUSE RULES)
The Post adopts Standing Rules to supplement the Constitution and By-Laws, since those do not necessarily cover the day to day operation of the Post. The Constitution and By-Laws also have some areas where a Post, based on its membership, can decide to have minor differences. The Standing Rules of Caroline Post 29 also include, as the last part, the House Rules which should be posted at the Lounge, so that members and guests are aware of them. Failure to comply with the House Rules can result in someone being asked to leave the premises. The current Standing Rules (and House Rules) are at this link:
